Line Mt. Points Champion
New this year, we will be instituting a points system for the Jeep and buggy racers.
It will be for a combination of all three races (Saturdays only).
There will be a money payout at the end of the year, at the conclusion of the 7-miler.
We are also looking for donations/sponsors for the costs/prizes associated with the system (in addition to the normal trophy sponsorships). Betty or Tim Lenig can be contacted for that as well.
2008 Line Mt. 4 Wheelers 3 Event Point System
New this year we are having a 3 event point system for the following races:
3 ½ Miler – June 7th Coal Bucket Run – July 19th 7 Miler – Sept. 20th
Points are awarded by overall finish order for all events as follows:
500 points for 1st overall finish.
25 Point intervals to 5th overall finish.
20 Point intervals to 10th overall finish.
10 Point intervals to 20th overall finish.
5 Point intervals to 40th overall finish.
2 Point intervals to 50th overall finish.
1 Point intervals to last place overall finish (completing 1 lap).
Example : 4 Lap race
4 laps completed in time will start at 500 points for first then down.
3 laps completed will skip 2 point positions.
2 laps completed will skip 2 point positions
1 lap completed will skip 2 point positions.
Over time on 4 laps will use the 3 lap finish time.
13th place overall finishing 4 laps would receive 270 points.
14th place overall finishing 3 laps would receive 240 points.
Top 20 overall finishers will start the next event in that order. All other competitors will draw numbers from 21 & up.
Drivers leaving the starting line will receive points.
